Good rates, slow setup

I recently opened a High-Interest Savings Account. The rates offered are definitely a strong point, much better than my current bank. However, the initial account verification took a bit longer than I expected, around 3 business days, which felt a little drawn out. Once it was set up though, funding the account was simple. A solid option overall, but be prepared for a small wait at the start.

Detailed CD opening experience

I decided to open a No-Penalty CD with Raisin a few weeks ago. The online application was quite clear, asking for all the usual personal and financial details. It took about 20 minutes to complete. After submitting, I received an email confirmation almost immediately. The account was fully verified and active within 48 hours, which was pretty good. Transferring funds from my existing bank was straightforward using the ACH instructions provided. I checked the account daily for the first week, and everything looked correct, including the interest accrual. The customer support section of the website answered most of my questions, so I didn't need to contact them directly. So far, the experience has been efficient and transparent.

Easy to open account

I just opened a High-Yield Savings Account through Raisin last week. It was way easier than I thought it would be. The whole process was pretty straightforward online, and I liked seeing all the different bank options in one place. Got everything set up in about 15 minutes. Super happy with the rate too, better than my old bank.

Fantastic savings platform!

I just moved some money into a new Money Market Account with Raisin and I am so impressed! The rates are so much better than what I was getting before. The website is super clean and easy to navigate, which made finding the best option a breeze. I'm telling everyone about this, definitely planning to open more accounts here soon!

Reliable for CDs

This is my third CD with Raisin, and they've been consistently reliable. I opened a new Long-Term CD last month, and the process was just as smooth as my previous ones. The rates are always competitive, which is why I keep coming back. I appreciate not having to shop around everywhere else.

Can you actually get your money out easily from Raisin if you need it, or is it a hassle?

P Priya G. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, withdrawals are pretty straightforward. It's not instant, obviously, but it works like any other bank transfer. Just set it up and it'll hit your linked account in a few business days.

I've withdrawn a couple times, no big deal. Just request it from your dashboard.

How long does it usually take to get the referral bonus after you open an account? Is it instant?

L Lisa 1 month ago
Nah, it's not instant. From my experience, it took a few weeks after my initial deposit cleared. They usually have terms for how long you need to keep the money in too.

C Chris G. 1 month ago
I think it varies, but don't expect it right away. They have to verify everything first. It's usually outlined in the bonus terms.

I saw some ads for a sign-up bonus. How do you actually get that, do you need a special code or something?

D Dana Reyes 3 weeks ago
Usually, it's a referral link or a specific promo code you gotta use when you're signing up. Make sure you apply it then, don't miss it.

Yeah, if you're a new customer, they often have bonuses. Just make sure you look for the spot to put in the code during registration. It's not always super obvious.

Are there any fees for opening or maintaining a savings account with Raisin? Or do they try to sneak those in later?

N Neil 2 weeks ago
Nope, not from my experience. They don't charge fees for savings accounts. That's one of their selling points.

I haven't been charged any fees. They make their money from the banks, not from us, which is pretty sweet.

Anyone know what the minimum deposit is for these accounts? Just trying to figure out how much I need to start.

R Renee 4 weeks ago
It depends on the specific account and bank you choose, some are lower than others. I've seen some as low as $1 but others require more.

You'd have to check for each specific product they offer. Some CDs might have higher minimums than a regular savings account.

Hey, thinking about opening an account with Raisin. Does anyone know if they're legit or just another fly-by-night operation?

F Faith 1 month ago
Yeah, totally legit. My money's been sitting there for months, no issues. It's all FDIC insured too, which is a big plus.

They've been around for a while now, I think they're pretty well-established in the fintech space. I'd say you're good.

I'm looking at Raisin for a high-yield savings account. How does it compare to Marcus or Ally Bank in terms of rates and ease of use?

T Troy F. 1 month ago
Raisin lets you access a bunch of different banks, so you can kinda shop around for the best rate without opening a bunch of different accounts. Marcus and Ally are good, but you're stuck with their rates.

C Cody Nguyen 1 month ago
I've used both Raisin and Ally. Raisin's rates can be more competitive because they're aggregating offers from multiple banks. Ally is super easy to use though, I'll give them that.
